Cambodia: A Country of Missed Opportunities

In 1954 the Geneva Conference had provided instruments and agreements for Cambodia to survive in peace, but unfortunately Cambodia at one point choose to discontinue the role of the Commission International de Controle (CIC) at the borders. The neutrality is questionable leaning a bit toward the left.

The Paris Peace Agreements were another opportunity to regain peace and freedom and independence but the government may have the opportunities slipped away again by not abiding their terms, i.e to cancel agreements that were signed under duress and not favorable to Cambodia.
