October 14: Return to Cambodia

That day in 1982, 29 years ago, I had a chance to accompany KPNLF President Son Sann to go to Thailand , and cross the borders into the Freedom Fighters camps in Cambodia. This was the first time since my exile in the US in 1975. I stay there over a week and return back to New York on October 22.
It was a incident at the borders KPNLF camp that prompt the imediste need for President Son Sann there to solve the problems related to the assassination of a KPNLAF Commander.
