Yesterday on May 6, 2013 the Constitutional Monarchy of Cambodia was at 66th year old. The first Constitution was promulgated and signed by King Norodom Sihanouk on May 6, 1947.
Prime minister Hun Sen who said (Phnm Penh Post) before that he will stay till 90 years old, changed his mind and told a crowd in Kopong Speu that he will be serving until age 74 (2026):
“Now, they are praising China and Vietnam as the countries that have
only one political party but growth because of changing leadership,”
said Hun Sen. “This is directed at me, therefore, I accept and I will do
the same as Vietnam and China.”
Hun Sen said he will give up the top slot
at roughly the same age that former Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van
Khai and former Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao left their positions
of power. He said the men were 76 and 74, respectively when they stepped
down.
“I will be 66-years-old in 2018, and I will be
71-years-old in 2023, and therefore, you have to wait,” he said, rolling
off his political resume. “I was foreign minister at the age of 27, and became deputy prime minister at 29-years-old, and became prime minister at 32.”
This is possible with 3 conditions:
1. The CPP will win the 2013 election, and
the 2018 election, and
the 2023 election.
2. He will continue be elected as a representative; and
3. The CPP central committee will continue to elect him as a candidate for
the Prime Minister position.
In this world and according to the Buddhist law of nature "Preah Tri Lakhana", nothing is permanent and
it was changing every second, for the better or for the worse.
Que sera sera ... Qui vivra, verra ... Who will live, will see ... What will be, will be ...
