Cambodia: First Government after Paris Political Settlement

After the final results of the elections organized by the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) won by the FUNCINPEC, Samdech Norodom Sihanouk, on June 16, 1993, assigned Prince Ranariddh with Hun Sen as co-Prime Ministers (or First and Second) to form the coalition Government without the Khmer Rouge. The Government that start July 1, 1993, included members from the FUNCINPEC, the CPP, the BLDP and the MOULINAKA and were sharing power in all government department. The CPP has the advantage over the others because they continue to have their administration in place.
The government was dismantled after the battle of 5-6 July between the forces loyal to Ranariddh and to Hun Sen. Ranariddh lost the battle and his position.
